The Castle Trail is a route of about 240 km running from Aberdeen and touches all the castles and fortresses in the region of Grampian. Signs along the road indicate that both the castles rovine.Vi recommend:
Craigievar Castle. And 'the proof that fairy tales can come true: it is a wonderful castle with turrets, windows and frontoniscalati transport. The seven-story tower addition to being a symbol of authority was also meant to bring together the most practical rooms as possible under one roof, as in the Highlands there was little wood available. The complex system of scales includes a secret staircase which leads to a room above a window in the great room.
Cawdor Castle. Where Shakespeare set the murder of King Duncan by Macbeth. It is currently owned by the Duke of Campbell, to see the precious furniture, an extensive library of Shakespeare, a hawthorn, which dates back to 1370 and a beautiful garden with flower beds, paths and a golf course.
Eilean Donan Castle. And 'certainly the best known and most photogenic castle on a small scozzese.Troneggia isolanel Loch Duich and can be reached only along a terrapieno.Oggi is the home of clan McRae. Famous because it appeared the movie Highlander with C. Lambert.
Dunrobin Castle. Not to be missed. Fairytale-style castle with corner towers neobaronale. Consilgio certainly a walk in the Italian garden with sea views.
Inveraray Castle. In classic style, surrounded by a charming park!
Dunnottar Castle. Its spectacular ruins stand on a rock on mare.E 'protected on three sides by the sea on one side and an abyss. Wonderful atmosphere with waves dashed on the rocks and seagulls in flight, as well as the ever-present sound of a bagpipe. Obviously
Scotland offers much much more and I can just speak to you about even the Loch Ness, the Malt Whisky Trail, Edinburgh and many more ........
