TALE OF TRAVEL - USA ON THE ROAD

One of the best trips of my life was running with my husband on the road to the U.S. West Coast, freely, without reserve nothing to stop where we went, and especially when we went.
Our tour started on the road to San Francisco where we were 4 / 5 days to see a little 'run around the city and especially up and down the streets of San Francisco with the legendary Cable Car! Here we have
feast of fish at the pier at Fisherman's Wharf, where it is fun watching the chaos that made the dozens of sea lions at Pier 39 on wooden rafts squatted in the sun!
belllissimi We walked to the park every so often stopping to chat with one of the many squirrels! And of course we could not get to see the famous Golden Gate and Alcatraz!
day 5 we are ready to leave for the trip on the road, and only knew where the car would take us and what experiences we would do!
First stop was Yosemite NP, however, where we were a little 'disappointed because we could neither see nor the beautiful lake famous waterfall ... reason: no guidance was written up that they were "Seasonal and summer were all 'dry! From there
directed towards the Sequoia NP can not miss trees so big and spectacular as you do not see every day! They are huge in both height and width, to go around the trunk of a redwood I had to do 38 steps!! Even to a sequoia fall has been made a hole type tunnel to pass under the car! Was easier to move so that the Giant Sequoia from the road!
We continued southward directed at Death Valley, but along the way we stopped in Calico, a ghost town old west style! A warm but hallucinating about to make this leap into the past!
Along the way we stopped to eat in fast-food chains (like Denny's) that makes the American breakfast for all in local time or All You Can Eat where with fixed price (usually 14/15 dollars) you can eat buffet all you want ..... As for sleeping, out of these local free newspaper dispensers are where we are given all the motels divided by areas and price. We have always found a place and above all thanks to the coupon paid little of these magazines (I highly recommend them to you, never forget to take these very useful and free magazines
!!!!) After the ghost town, a city of toys ..... .................................

.................... LAS VEGAS!!

And the city marriages ... we also have done a little thought at the time ....... but then we had our Wedding here in Italy!
We were three days and have not been enough to see all the mega-hotels that are there. Each hotel is as big as an airport and every hotel has an attraction to see. The
Belleagio offers performances every quarter of an hour made by the waterworks of its mega fountain representing the Lake Como (unique spectacle!), You can see the MGM lion walk over your heads in a transparent tunnel (cute puppies licking the pavement and create situations for the beautiful, beautiful photos!) type musical show at the Mirage with pirates dancers (bellissimi!) and pirate ships firing the guns!! And many many others ... Moreover it is all absolutely free!! One piece of advice I can give you is to try to match the days of your stay in Las Vegas during the week, as these majestic hotels from Monday to Thursday are of very low prices and then you can stay and make a life by nabobs! Fabio and I also never forget the legendary menu $ 9 to Joab & Steak (steak and lobster surrounded by potatoes and salad !!!).
We spent hours and hours to see these mega creations, a bit unreal but definitely exceptional!
Las Vegas has been our starting point to see Death Valley!

When we left for Death Valley in the morning expecting to find throngs of tourists who flocked to see the landscape from various points of viewma was not so ...

After covering endless roads and arriving at a service station where a sign with an extraterrestrial warns us that if we turned right we would arrive at the 'Area 51 (mitica!!) We realized that there was no lla just our goal!

A small house with the Rangers gives us the number to be put on the car .... amazing but we are the No. 5 car visiting the Death Valley that day ... WOOOOOOOW! E 'so that you really enjoy the place .....

So we walked the 190 East in full freedom, either alone (almost) and the endless hours we suffered the heat of the valley! Our watch said a temperature of about 43 ° ... HELP! It 'been almost useless to obtain or bags of ice bought at the gas pump to fill the basket that we kept in the trunk full of drinks!! In 1 hour it was all melted!! To this might suggest a thermo bag or buy more at the pump polystyrene cool boxes ... but I think with that temperature, however, can not take that much!

At the end of your stay in Las Vegas we left the Grand Canyon (my heart leaps when I pronounce this word! !!!). Sigh Sigh

The road to get there proved as we expected, ie, hot desert, but rather seemed to go in the mountains.

The road climbed higher and higher, the air was fresh and all around were woods and green. We pass the station for the entry of Rangers (oh I forgot, for we bought a National Park Pass valid for all at a cost of about 60 - good buy!) And then go on that landscape montano.Ad some point we come to a great parking lot and see people's faces to the walls, parking and fitted jackets (it was just cold!) we approach the wall.

Words do not help me explain what I felt at that time .... I went away the breath and heart has had a start ... I saw the end of the world! A 'vast wound on earth was there in front of me, huge, deep, endless to the human eye ........ I cried::: I Emio husband has also taken with the camera!!

We were ready to take millions of photos but a very bad storm was approaching such a p 'bitter and a little' disappointed we headed to the other view and then go travel to Flagstaff to find a bed to go the night, as housing prices closer to the canyon were excessive for our pockets!

The next day we wandered around a bit 'along Route 66, we saw a rodeo cowboy or rather a race that would capture the lasso a calf in less time possible! Never seen so many horses and cowboys all together! The day was beautiful so we decided to go over the road instead of the previous day to watch the sunset over the Grand Canyon!

We never regret that choice!

And now still not fed up with so many wonders ... all headed to Utah to see the legendary Monument Valley!! It is located in the territory
Navajo and therefore is the only NP for which the Pass is not valid .... however the entry cost is nonsense, just a few dollars!
E 'was like being in an old western movie that my father loved to see! The earth and rocks are a red / orange sunset is needless to say they "light up"! We wandered around a bit 'drive to the valley (it would have been nice to go around on horseback to be suitable for the environment but the ns. budget, as usual, do not permit it!). Too bad we could stay only half a day to our respect. roadmap.
So we called in the huge march along U.S. route, dead-straight, with the station tuned to country music and feeling a bit 'more cowboys! The last stop of our
. "On the Road" - LA - Los Angeles!
Here we have the perfect tourists visiting Beverly Hills-Rodeo Drive, Sunset Boulevard - Walk of Fame - Hollywood as well as enjoy some 'sun and extravagance in Venice Beach with a stop in Santa Monica before returning sadly for the return flight home - SIGH SIGH!
GOODBYE WEST COAST ..... come back soon because you stay in our hearts .... and above all because we have not seen everything!!
